what's your fave from LK! issue 6?

there's so many things that I want to do from the latest issue, especially the felted waistcoat for hubby, but I think the first will be the cherry bag for DD, and I really want to make myself the summer top from Q&EC;. what's grabbed everyone else this time?

go through the posts and pull out the daft UK words that you like and we'll tell you what they mean, then you can use them stateside !

OK Its Friday - so here is another wacky picture to share! My crazy HAIR Days!!!

eat your heart out Tina Turner!! love the photo!. Mt hair is not quite collar length and quite thick and wiry, sometimes when I wake up on a morning my hair has flattened itself into a Beckhamesque spike on my head. Shame I cant play football!!

    Do we ever have enough?

the simple answer is " no", and I've spent afortune on papercrafting over the last few years, ann now I'm lured into yarn shops... thankfully OH can't complain, and he doesn't, he has a season ticket for football matches and the tickets for him & no1.kid cost over £900, then there's the petrol money every fortnight, plus snacks while they are there , £40 per trip, and they both play computer games and collect Warhammer (again, expensive). But we don't smoke, rarely drink, don't gamble, and rarely go out, so yes, entertainment fund sounds just about right!

What are you reading at the moment?

I enjoy terry pratchett books and I've got Good Omens on my mp3 for when I'm knitting, and I'm reading "The Naming Of the Dead" by Ian Rankin. I met Ian Rankin a few years ago before he hit the big time, and he's a really nice guy, keen to encourage other aspiring writers. anyone else met an author?
