instructions
  1. Life's Journey - 1 For the background, mount a circle of white card onto a circle of light blue. Attach a ring of white card with small holes punched in, to create the outer element of the compass. Die cut the letters “N E S W” and attach at the four points of the compass.

2 With the quilling tool, make a loose closed coil using a 40cm length of blue paper – use a quilling board as a guide. Pinch the coil making an elongated triangle shape. Now make a coil with a light blue length of 40cm paper, using a smaller guide on the quilling board.

3 Glue both quilled shapes at the narrow points together, then glue dark blue paper around the outer edge. Wrap the paper around twice and glue – this holds it together better. Make three more shapes.

4 Attach all four shapes to the centre circle, narrow ends at the points of the compass – add a small tight coil for the centre. Print ‘Enjoy Life’s Journey’ onto white card and attach with a small strip of wood or strong card with bakers twine to complete the look.
