Decided it might be worth a mention to give some newbies ideas.....

I received some ribbon as part of a RAK - I believe from Pinkbubble ??? [sorry my mind is straining here].....but one ribbon I decided to dress up some more with another funnier yarn that is all fuzzy, glittery and colourful.

I just doubled the fuzzy yarn into a needle and threaded away!  I want to do more - just have to find another ribbon to add to this.

You can see the ribbon in its original form, my adding the new fuzzy yarn and there it is.

‘wave in’ ....that’s a good way to describe it Sarah!  I have seen some ribbons get really loaded up with extra embellishments - probably by the same people who like to do t tassels!  I actually want to do a tassel soon too - I found the most terrific wooden thingey to do it on....we’ll see. smile

Thanks!

That looks great Beverly. Maybe I should try it with some of my lacy ribbon.(I think I have some). I have a few fibers that I bought from a home party. Would that work?

What a good idea.  I shall keep an eye out for some of that fuzzy thread. I have the lacey bit already.  Thank’s for the tip and sharing it with us grin

Hi!  I think its up to your imagination but those fuzzy yarns from the knitting section can be really cool - I am lucky as our dollar store carries a ton of neat looking yarns...like those eyelash types - all sparkly too - but I am sure the Altered Art people put a bunch of stuff together!  I think I’ll try it on doilies too!

Thats really cute! A great way to make something that little bit more unique, will have to try it out if i have some ribbon with holes in. Did buy some leopard print ribbon but every time i go to use it, it doesn’t seem to fit it with the project!
