Right then....... !
I went to Craft Central the other day and I was amazed to see (why, I don’t know !) that they had every die cutting machine in there including the Wizard and the dies to go with it including the Nestabilities.
I got chatting to one of the ladies there and was asking her about the Nestabilities the Bug. She very kindly got the Bug out and a Wizard die and showed me how to do it. She sandwiched A plate, B plate, die, card, C plate and it cut to perfection.
She then got out a pack made by Spellbinders called the “Wizard Charm Embossing Kit” and took out an embossing mat and then ran it through sandwiched A plate, B plate, die, card, mat and B plate and this then embossed the shape perfectly although it was a struggle trying to get the sandwich through the Bug.
This kit that she used is about £8 but really you need a Wizard to use all that is in there as it comes with two other plates which you only use in a Wizard so I decided to give this a miss plus I may have found it cheaper online !!
They didn’t have the shape that I wanted in the Nestabilities(good job as they were £22 in there !!) and so I promptly came home and had a look online.
I telephoned Oyster Stamps with regard to the Nestabilities (£16 per set there) and the mat they have for embossing which is £6. The lady there was fantastic, extremely helpful. She measured the Nestabilities for me to give me the sizes and told me that their mat was guaranteed to work and so I decided to “go for it”. I purchased the mat and a set of large scalloped circles. She said that she would put them in the post that evening.
They arrived the following morning and I am so pleased with them and they work perfectly, cut and embossed.
I would recommend buying the embossing mat from Oyster Stamps and also the Nestabilities. It is free P&P;over £20 too.
Sorry if I have waffled but I wanted to answer the question most people everywhere are asking even me up until a few days ago !!!
