Andrea
Where is it, when is it, and how much does it cost?
Sue Goult
its with a place called the card studio, she is changing the place where they have held it in the past, but the cost is £125 for the weekend with the classes, a goody bag and lunch both days i believe, there are different dates and areas, i did message you i hope, as new here and not sure if it worked x
Thanks Andrea - yesit did work, and I’ve noted the website, and details. Looks good to me, but my husband has just been made redundant, so I may have to wait until he’s got another job.
I would still like to know about these people in Norwich - does anyone know who they are, and what craft breaks they do - or if they still do them.
I would also be interested in the scrapbooking one in STratford - is it with Blue Moon crafts by any chance?
I did read the article in Crafts Beautiful, but they all seem to need a passport, and I haven’t got one, nor do I like flying. I do travel - mostly by car, as I’m disabled (walk with a stick, badly!), but I do like my husband to drive if it is more than a few miles.
Is there anyone out there who can help me???????????
The scrapbooking weekend I heard of in Stratford is being held at the Holiday Inn Stratford, Stratford-upon-avon. I’ve going to the dutch version. This is the 1st year they’ve held it in the uk as far as I know...here’s the link

I also did a search last year and there are craft cruises, mostly in the USA.
And for anyone wanting a free holiday, a tip from my SiL, who keeps nagging me to do this: cruise companies are always on the look out for people who can do stuff, be it in entertainment or craft. One cruise my SiL went on there was a craft workshop, the lady who ran the workshop only worked for a few hours a day, she got the rest of the time off, plus cabin, food etc… I’ve half looked into it, and it is possible.
I’m off to the Scrapagogo retreat in June
I am lucky enough to be on the GoGo Greetings {cardmaking kit} Design Team, and I am really really looking forward to it, this will be my 1st time on craft break.
I have been going to this one with my daughters for the past three years. It is realy god value as you wouldnt beleive the amount of stash you get free. WE usually takr an empty suitcase
I go to the Diva package wekend in Holland. I hae never beeon the UK one as it is just the first time this year - but it costs more than Holland! Th event is very well organise and people and teachers come fron all over the world!

Hi ladies
We’ve been listening to your wishes - so if you’ve always fancied going on a crafty break in the UK, but didn’t know where to start, make sure you get issue 15 of Let’s Make Cards for our feature on the fabulous crafty breaks that the UK has to offer. From country retreats to city breaks - there should be something for every taste and budget! You may even see the LMC team at one or two!
I think Dawn Bibby holds crafting weekends at her shop, try http://www.topazcrafts.tv - there should be a link to the craft workshops.
I’d love to go, but don’t want to go on my own :-(
Oh, and I’m in Liverpool
I’ve not been to an actually crafting workshop but I visite her shop and new design studio a few times and it’s quite good. I’d meet up with anyone interested but I live in Blackpool and work funny partterns so would need a bit of notice.
I was on a weekend retreat in June and I loved every minute of it, 5* hotel great food, great company and crafting till our heart content Oh and fantastic classes and tutorials, by great teachers. So good I paid my deposit for 2009 before I left the venue
