I do some parchment craft but I’m limited in what I make because I don’t have a lot of the tools. They are expensive but would be worth it in the end.
I would like to do some candle making or etching on glass. I would also love to be able to make my own furniture. I do a bit of woodwork for my painting but again no tools for the big stuff!
I would be up for jewellery design for precious metals and diamonds plus the goldsmith’s work required to create the pieces. A number of years ago I actually designed a ring in yellow gold with a white gold decoration and a small diamond (a re-work of an inherited wedding ring), which was then realised by a goldsmith.
I don’t know if I would be talented enough to get to grips with the craftsmanship behind it. But I’ll never know, either. Time and more importantly money (as you might be able to imagine ) are just too short in supply.
i would like to try to crochet, since its something i can do in the bus on the way to work (i have a long commute. i tried knitting but i taught myself and i kind of knit funny im afraid id stab the person sitting next to me.
also, ATCs! and possibly decorating plain shoes using beads and sequins. I have this book from The Bead Shop website that shows you how to do several projects using beads and this was one of them! Look gorgeous the shoes too!
I love Knitting but would like to learn the basics on crochet,as some knitted items have a fancy edge which is crochet,i would not want to do it on a day to day basis, knitting keeps me occupied
tried stained glass, but not in the right frame of mind at the time. so could not concentrate. and i was not strong enough with the glass cutter, must have another go some time.
i would like to make those decorative candles with different coloured wax and squirls down the side. have seen them in sea side towns. jk
would like to try so many things, jewelery making, like Jules would love to do stained glass window, need to get back to doing things I did many moons ago as well.
like knitting, dressmaking and tapestries. Oh if only had mor time!!!!
Love Glitzzy x Ps used to do quilting as well, don’t know where time has went.
I would love to try glasswork as I think some beautiful effects can be achieved. In particular I think dichronic glasswork is stunning! If anyone knows of any courses for this, please let me know.
I would love to try lampwork beads, silver jewellery..pottery but i’d probably make a mess…
I’ve made candles and soap and parchment, with parchment , you don’t need a lot of tools, as long as you have a craft knife, a white pencil, an embossing tool and some parchment , you can make up your own designs....
basically, I would like to do everything…
