Money/time issues aside, what crafts would you love to do that you have never done before???

I would love to try lampwork, it looks likes so much fun, and needle felting because it looks real difficult.

Also scrapbooking and crochet.

You???

Knitting. My Nan taught me to knit when I was little, but I don’t remember any more and she’s now gone :(

Knitting’s quite easy to do, I mean if you learnt as a child it can’t be hard! Have you tried picking up some needles and wool and seeing if it randomly comes back to you, that would be cool! My grandmas used to knit and attempted to teach me once - wasn’t happening lol!

I think most towns have a ceramics evening class?

Would like to try parchment drawing… I’ve seen kits for it, but would rather just buy the parchment and tools without any of the ready-made designs.
Also, wool felting.
And I would like to make a bookmark -that idea inspired from here!
Embossing, but don’t know how expensive it is, and again didn’t want templates but to start from scratch.

Yes I haven’t tried picking up knitting needles again. I just never said I learnt particularly well. I was about 7 when I learnt the basics and I’m now 22 and my Nan’s been dead for the past 10 years so it has been quite a long time.

Kind of done that.I remember when I was little I got a new pair of sandals so I got my old ones and because my favourite film was ‘The Wizard Of Oz’ I covered them in glue and sprinkle multi coloured glitter all over them.My very own Dorothy slippers.I think that must be pretty much my first craft memory, those were the days. Idunno! I saw parchment craft in a magazine, and it looked like a neat white drawing or embossing onto cards.

You could always make Dorothy shoes again smile

I fancy doing pottery but, it’s far too messy for me! I do enjoy watching potters being craetive though. I fancy Iris Folding for cards (my craft pen pal has sent me a couple of cards using this echnique!), would love to try my hand at crochet, get back into my weaving as I studied a BA Honours in woven textiles at college a few years ago, fancy glass painting also and painting onto ceramics just like Sharon Bennet does. Love her work!

I would love to have a go at making stained glass windows.  Don’t know why, but whenever I see it on TV I think “oooh, I’d love to do that”.  Other crafts on my wish list is cake decorating, (all the novelty type cakes for kiddies birthdays and such like) and I would LOVE to master the art of Crochet.  It is something that beats me every time.  I just don’t “get it”.  I am determined to keep trying though, and will not be defeated!  I’m hoping one day it will all just click into place…
