I have finally got around to making my Dolly. I have to say, it’s a fantastic pattern, I love the shape of her she has a nice round belly and even a bottom! I gave her the addition of some knickers - well it didn’t seem right knowing she had nothing on under her frock!

Aww bless, thanks Nicola. It really is great fabric to work with, you order it per half metre so I ordered half a metre and there’s enough left to make at least another 4 dolls if I wanted to.

Can I ask now I’ve insulted you Did you make an extra seam allowance or incorparate it in the pattern itsself, cos your much much cleverererer than me.xxx

she is beautiful!!!  I can’t sew to save my life, crochet/knitting is a breeze, but sewing agh, and my lovely husband bought me a sewing machine for christmas, think he was hinting lol

Thanks girls. Nicola, I didn’t add an extra seam allownace to any of it. I just sewed about 3mm in from the edge of the pattern as it is. the dress is a teeny bit snug but I did put quite a lot of stuffing in dolly so she had that ‘just had Christmas dinner’ look.
