All i can say is, i started out making porceline dolls, then saw an article on traditional bear making, i have been hooked since!
They are always made from mohair either english or german, i mainly use suedette for the paws but some times felt, the eyes i use single loop glass eyes, and the joints i use cotton pin joints. they get filled with polyester filling and pellets for there tummys for the saggy look in ones that look old used bears, in there heads i use woodwool, I cut the fur short around there noses and use just DMC thread for there nose, i try and use the things only that would of been used years ago in bears.
it can take a day to make and i use my own patterns.
Really like him he is cute,think he would look fab in suit and dickie bow, wow can almost see it,well done you,I like him. mind ask him my question!!
