Right, I am going to have to be strict with myself as I am about to embark on a new cross stitch project.  I bought a birth sampler kit when a friend of mine had a baby.  Only thing is, I didn’t get around to stitching it, and now the baby is having his first birthday next week

So, I’m going to make it for his birthday present, but it may well be a few days late

I’m going to chart my progress here to try to keep my enthusiasm going.  I am always starting charts but never finishing them.  I MUST do this one!

I’m doing Maggie The Messmaker at the moment, and I am finding it a bit slow going - I didn’t realise there were so many dark sections which do slow me down, oh well, still be worth it when it’s finished

I have actually started the cross-stitch sampler today, hurray!  I sorted out all of the threads yesterday, but couldn’t be bothered to start stitching

This afternoon I stitched the name, so it HAS to be for the little one in question, I can’t give it to anyone else   (I know I could sit and unpick it, but shhhh, I’m not meant to think like that!) I’ve done a few other bits of stitching on it too.

So I’ve started!  Now let’s see how long it takes me to finish   I did buy the little lad another birthday pressie today just in case....

*giggle*

I shall post piccies of progress so far tomorrow in daylight.
