I have a dollshouse, but haven’t done anything to it for ages. I decorated the outside but then got scared when it came to doing the wiring and haven’t done that yet. And I keeep telling myself I can’t touch the inside until the elecrics are all done. Fortunately, Alan has said he’ll help me with it and has loaned me his Dremel. Must get going again....

Thats the trouble i am having, as you have to do the lighting first, but i don’t no how i want the rooms yet!
I would love to see a piccy of yours if you are ok with that.

Of course - I’ll take a photo of it and post it up as soon as I can. Probably be tomorrow now. Only you must promise not to tell anyone that I use it as “storage” fo all the craft stuff I don’t have time to put away, if anyone calls round unexpectedly!

I think you can wire it to the ‘light’ even if you don’t put the light in, iykwim

Carolyn yours is lovely,Pinkpuppy, what you doing is best thing check out the books for dates you want,I have dolls house,present from Tracy and Alex, mine not painted yet,bits of paint at one side trying them out,I want old house,like what my Mum might have had before I was born,they really worked hard then,so far got good few bits for kitchen,single sink,mangle,tub and poss stick,old fashioned range,plain table and chair,kitchen cubboard type sort of!! Fireplace,and 3piece suite for living room,have some bedroom things but Know what I like and want and ofcourse its expensive what I want,so try to do it bit by bit.
I wish you all well with your houses they are fun.

Yes i would like to do it victorian.

Had a shoebox as a kid! Duvet cover was made from material, stuffing and sewing. Bed was a handmade box. The kitchenware was made from fimo and airdry clay, so it doesnt have to be expensive.
Had sylvanian families! You could make your own dolls some people do that here

Do you want to try and make things for it?  I have a great book somewhere that gives you ideas - I can hunt it out and find the title
