Crafts Beautiful - Quick & Crafty - Let's Make Cards Magazine

Hi all

Hope you’re ready for another great Let’s Make Cards challenge, as it’s time to dust off your kits again!

All you have to do is make a project with the kit from issue 14 then post a picture of it here. The winner will receive a fab stash of crafty bits!

Only one entry per member please- and the challenge closes on the 23rd of May 2008, 5.30 pm (UK time).

Ok - first up with this one!

I used Dovecraft 8x8 Paper Pack, Kate Knight Aquamarine Floral Prints and cut out three circles with my Fiskars shape cutter. I then drew around the flower/leaf shapes with a fine blackliner. (I saw the technique on a blog somewhere recently which included highlighting with white as well - only I don’t have a white pen - yet!!!)

I then cut out freehand heart shapes with the Fiskars cutter and stuck the circles onto a lilac blank from the kit. I then used the pearl, diamond and green pearl embellishments from the kit, along with the wedding wishes words ... et voila!

Blimey Eve ... that was quick!  No time for the dust to setle on your kit was there ? 

Lovely entry and totally different from the more traditional wedding card look ... but could I ask where’s the 3rd circle?  Is it inside?

Mines has all ready been seen on site, so I hope its Ok to post again, if not let me know and I’ll think of something different.

I’ve mainly used the papers and embellishments, plus a couple of things from the easter edition. (And the hamster/bear is my own design - still dont know what the poor chap is, lol)

Both are really lovely cards, well done Ultramum and Cazwil

I wondered whether someone would pick up on the missing circle - it was just going to be the three circles but it was too much for the size of the card and then I decided to cut the hearts out and then i decided two would be better for a wedding card - so the short answer is - on my pile of spare bits and bobs!!!!
