I love detective stories and would recommend Jeffrey Deaver as he usually has a really good twist at the end.
I also love fantasy & would particularly recommend Mercedes Lackey and Guy Gavriel Kay

Over the last couple of months I've re-read all the Harry Potter series tongue rolleye I just think that they are so fab, something that everyone can enjoy no matter as to age or gender.

I'm currently reading Breaker by Minette Walters who I think is fab too. Other favorite authors are Terry Pratchett and I've really enjoyed reading a few of Alan Titchmarshs' novels. One of the books I read last year that I found very emotional was The Girls by Lori Lansens - well worth a read.

I love detective novels and can re-read Hercule Poirot adn Miss Marple time and time again. But my favourite, favourtie book is Pride and Prejudice - I have read it so many times I could recite it without any reference to the book. (I didn; tlike the rcent film, but almost needless to say loved the Colin Firth version of Mr Darcy - perfect!).

Am reading 2 books at the moment: Devil Water by Anya Seton (read several of her books in my younger years and have just disocvered them again); plus a follow on from Pride & Prejudice - Mr Darcy Takes a Wife (very racey, very not Jane Austen).

I'm into fantasy..LOTR, Raymond Fiest, Terry Brooks and such. My favourite author is Sarah Douglass. Starman trilogy and all the others in that series and the best of all the Troy game series. I've read them 3 times so far LOL. I also loved Eragon and Elder but was disappointed with the movie!

I love historical books, be they fiction or non-fiction. Phillippa Gregory writes beautifully about the Tudor era - really makes the history we all think we know come to life.

I also love "how to" books and am currently reading "Grow Your Own Veg" by Carol Klein from Gardening World. Really good!

I mostly read true crime books, but do read all sorts of other stuff too, anything except 'Chick lit' really. From the previous posts really enjoyed both Moab & Flowers in the Attic (and the other zillion books in the series)

I think I have previously told you all about trying to perfect the art of reading two books at one time - one with each eyeball. I have been a bookaholic since I was 2 years old, so it was rather inevitable that I would end up working as a LIBRARIAN. I work in a big public library, so get to see all the new books. It is like putting a lunatic in charge of an asylum!!!!!!
My favourite authors are Erica James, Katie Fforde, Susan Howatch, R F Delderfield, and the best books I have read recently have been The Memory Keeper's Daughter(sad but uplifting), The death and life of Charlie St Cloud, The Lovely Bones, and some teenage fiction - Life on the refrigerator door, Before I die, and The declaration.
I have to force myself to occasionally do other things like craft, eat, sleep, etc. rasberry rasberry cool cheese
