My DH bought it for me today along with a Cuttlebug and a heap of dies and embossing folders!

I have had a play with my bug but not had a chance to test my big bite yet. Does anyone else have one. Are they easy to use? Please share your tips if you have any.
Thanks

I think it’s only just available in the UK. As I have got the normal crop-a-dile, I think I’ll be looking out for an offer.

Is it worth the money? Is it a good addition to the normal crop-a-dile?

Thanks ladies.

I am a bit disappointed.  shock  I tried out my crop a dile and the eyelets were not setting properly. I rang the company I bought it from and I have to return it. It has a manufacturing defect. The parts are not aligning correctly. So if you do happen to get one make sure the pins line up with the parts on the base.

Hmmmmmm Will have to wait now to play with it.

On the upside, my new bug is working like a charm and no piece of paper is safe anymore! LOL

Well it’s all good now. I have my newly replace Crop-a-dile ll and it is fantastic. So easy to use and great if you don’t have a lot of strength in your hands. Eyelets are a breeze!

I can’t comment on the original crop-a-dile as I have not tried it. I purchased the big bite because it was only $10 dearer than the original. Well worth it!

I will upload some piccies once I take some.

I got my crop-a-dile from QVC when it was a TSV and continue to hope that they will come up with a good offer. I might send them an email to make them aware that we crafters are keen on the ‘Big Bite’.

I’ve just had to email the company I bought mine from as mine has just done the same, the punch stopped going into the holes, unless I pushed the pin to the side so it went through.... not good for fingers if you aren’t careful!!  Hope they take mine back, if not I’ll show them this post!!!

I have done a google search and there are a couple of reports of this happening. One person said that it was caused by the consumer removing the product from the packaging.

Ha. I don’t agree with that. I am always so careful opening packages that the store owner didn’t even realize that the pack was open when I took my crop-a-dile back!

Thankfully the new one is ok!

Mine broke on the third use, but before that I queried it with the supplier as it didn’t look right with the bottom bed raised, and I found that it squashed 5 out of 15 eyelets which I needed to fix with pliers, and one was so mangled I couldn’t do a thing.

The cube in the setter stuck in an eyelet, and eventually came out still in the eyelet so that was the end of the big bite!

I have heard that others have had problems but got a replacement which was better, but I have a refund.  I would like to try another just for the grommet setting.

I hoped to buy one at the Shepton Mallet Exhibition after checking it out first, but there were none to be seen.

What a disaster Cazzy! I hope you manage to find a decent one. I haven’t given mine a big test run yet. So I hope mine lasts. I will be furious if I have problems with this one too.
