Another great idea from Renart!
Coloursplitz pens are perfect for creating textured effects such as feathering, and they are great for adding fun and funky borders to cards and scrapbook pages. They can also be used with simple stencil shapes to create interesting backgrounds, plus they are ideal for using on scrapbook pages, particularly for adding interesting lettering.
FIRST STEPS
STARRY NIGHT
Colorsplitz pen of your choice
Card blank, square, white
Mirror board, silver
Vellum, Christmas, white/silver
Sticky glitter stars embellishments
Foam pads
Paper trimmer
Double-sided tape
1 Make a square template, 3cm square, using either a ruler, pencil and scissors or a suitably sized hole punch. With your chosen Colorsplitz pen create four separate blocks of colour using the template and cut out.
2 Cut out four mirror board shapes, 3.5cm square, then mount the Colorsplitz squares onto these. Create another panel 1cm smaller than the front of your card blank and stick this in position using double-sided tape as shown. Repeat this step using vellum.
3 Mount the four square ‘toppers’, so that they are positioned centrally on the card. Finally add a sparkling silver Christmas star embellishment onto the front of each square, using foam pads.
