Magic Marker
Create stunning designs!
Colorsplitz is an amazing pen design from Renart with a unique dual nib that creates wonderful effects quickly and easily. When then pen is held at a 45° angle it works like a regular marker for colouring, but as you raise the pen and increase the angle you will see the how the second shade comes into play, giving dimension and texture to your cardmaking. Here is a great project for you to try out using these great pieces!
CHRISTMAS TREE CARD
FIRST STEPS
Card, white
Cardstoch, white cardstock
Gems, self-adhesive, silver
Two Colorsplitz pens
Foam pads
Scissors
Ruler
Pencil
1 Cut out a white 4cm square. Using this shape as a stencil, place over a piece of cardstock, and colour in using your chosen Colorsplitz pen. Use rapid side to side movements to fill the space. Repeat this twice more, using a different coloured pen if preferred, so that you have three decorated panels.
2 Trim these into triangles, making one slightly larger than the others. Position the trees centrally on a blank card using foam pads, as shown. Add a scattering of self-adhesive gems to the central tree.
3 On a separate piece of cardstock, create a narrow block of colour using a Colorsplitz pen, 1.5cm x 4cm. Cut a piece of blank white card so that it is slightly smaller and write a greeting on this using a Colorsplitz pen. Position this centrally onto the coloured topper you have created and mount securely onto the card.
