If you thought that wire working is a craft consigned solely to the world of jewellery making, we're here to show you that it's definitely not! If you haven't come across this before, then the festive season is the best time to get into the groove of wire sculpting. With our instructions you can create some fancy embellished cards for the holidays, and once you've mastered the technique, we think it's likely that you'll be keeping up the habit long after. Christmas

1. Cut Christmas tree paper from the pack to fit the centre of white tag and ink the edges pink before adhering. Trim a long triangle shape from glitter card for the tree and wrap with silver wire. Attach self-adhesive gems for baubles. Glue the motif to the tag using 3-D foam pads and add a star on top.

2. Wrap a length of pink ribbon around the bottom edge of the tag. Create a computer printed ‘Merry Christmas’ greeting to say, and cut out. Ink the rims green then adhere. Knot a small length of pink ribbon to the tag top to complete.
