Combine zesty fresh shades with modern shapes for this striking collection that really embodies the balmy feeling of summer. The lovely mini book is the perfect keepsake for a special birthday, or just to treat yourself with a selection of favourite quotes, always on hand to brighten your day!
Love Book
1. Take pink, blue, yellow and green plains paper from the collection, along with the four matching patterned designs. Choose another sheet for the cover.
2. Trim the paper and two pieces of chipboard to 4” x 4”. Secure the cover paper to the chipboard with glue. Divide the plain sheets into groups of two, then adhere them together, back to back, to create pages until you have three in total.
3. Cut the matching patterned papers, 3.5” x 3.5”, and adhere them to the co-ordinating plain page, as shown. Assemble the book, using the picture as a guide, then punch two holes in the lefthand side, close to the edge and through all the layers.
4. Fasten a book ring through each hole, then decorate with assorted gingham and plain ribbon, snipped to size, tied in knots and trimmed off at an angle. Cut a circle from pink plain paper and adhere to the centre of the front cover.
5. Centrally affix an adhesive quote along the bottom of the front cover, slightly overlapping the circle. Take the butterfly sticker from the collection and position it on the disc, slightly towards the top, with 3-D foam pads. Add a piece of twisted silver wire for the antennae, hiding the join behind the motif.
6. Type out a selection of quotes on a home computer, one for each page. Before printing, make sure they are arranged in a circle formation on the page, as shown. Cut out, then create the same number of scalloped discs, slightly larger, using an appropriate punch.
7. Adhere each quote centrally to a scalloped circle, leaving a wide border visible the whole way around. Mount the motifs to the bottom outer corner of each page in the book to finish.
