1. Trim patterned fabric, 9.5cm x 20cm for the cover and line with white felt. Refer to the pattern pages and create two ‘pages’ from light pink felt, each 7.5cm x 15.cm, and a further two, 13.cm x 15cm, to make the envelope shaped pockets. Fold the felt vertically into a book shape. Trim the first page, 7.5cm square, and the larger pieces into a point as shown.

2. Sandwich two, 12cm lengths of satin ribbon in between the inside/outside covers. Stitch all around, leaving a narrow border and anchoring the ends in place. Decorate the front with beads, sequins and the embroidered shoe.

3. Assemble the felt pages, alternating the colours. Ensure that each triangular-shaped piece is positioned directly behind a square and stitch together to form a pocket. Fold over the pointed flap then add a poppa to secure and cover with a decorative button. Place the felt pages in the middle of the roll and stitch in place through all the layers.

Top Tips

Use the little book to organise your craft essentials. The pages are made from felt, so you can simply push pins and needles through the fabric and store threads in the envelopes
