Treat your family and friends to an explosion of pattern when making your next batch of cards. These stunning designs feature floral motifs, long legged birds with big eyes and flirty eyelashes, and big shiny brads, all in a vibrant spectrum of colour.
square card
1. Trace around the scalloped edge of a card blank onto the back of a glittered sheet to create a smaller, 10cm square. Cut it out and glue to the front of the blank. Tie a bow in a 25cm length of yellow ribbon and fix to the fold of the card with double-sided tape, tucking the ends inside neatly.
2. Cut a simple bird shape from pink patterned paper. Trim two wings, one bigger than the other, and attach to the motif. Add a collar, beak, stickers and decorative brads as shown. Draw on the eye and lashes with a black pen.
3. Add two thin strips of paper to make legs and fix the completed bird to the card with foam pads. Assemble two layered paper flowers in assorted colours and secure each one with a brad. Use strong PVA glue to fix these near the ribbon. Attach three flower stickers as shown.
