Sounds like we're going to have a mega Cerulean fashion show grin I'm still on the lookout for some aubergine coloured wool to do another one so if anybody sees some can you let me know please? It's a dark purple colour. Only need less than 110g so am prepared to pay a more. Can't wait to see the finished shrugs & glad you're enjoying it Katy after having to frog your last top grin

Update - I have frogged Ellie's cerulean a 3rd time back to the cuff! I made a mistake knitting in semi light and when I tried to unravel with the yarn forwards I just couldn't pick the stitches up properly. Think I'm going to leave it for tonight and have another go tomorrow. It was looking really nice too hmmm

Hey thanks Emmilou - I've decided when I do another Renee I'm not going to do so many increases when you change to the smaller needles again as I think this might sort it out grin

Annie mine has a slightly different "top" and "bottom" but I don't think it really matter which way up you wear it. cheese

Angel it makes your shrug even more individual if you didn't do the moss stitch in the in between bit grin

And finally, I have cast on for a cerulean for Ellie using 30 stitches and 4.5mm & 6.5mm needles and doing just a 3 stitch moss border instead of the 4 cool smile

thats excellent, suz, i was thinking of making 1 for alysa once i've finished amber's as i bought 3 balls of the wendy chic and i've got a feeling i'm not going to need all of it for amber...oops,hahaha!!! LOL
that means they'll both have red fluffy, glittery ceruleans....aaawww, how cute... smile

I guess that's what happens when you work in semi dark when you're tired! At least I had the sense to put it to one side for the evening grin

Good luck with yours and red glittery sounds great cheese

Suzie the same thing happened to me last night. I made a mistake only to discover it later. Tried to frog to where I'd gone wrong but just couldn't pick the stitches up so had to pull it all out up to the cuff and start again. Very very tired tonight so have put it to oneside. That's the only trouble with this pattern - you cannot pick up the stitches if you pull it back. It's nigh on impossible mad

Ah Annie you and I have pointed out the pitfalls! I was only about 20 rows into the criss cross pattern so not too bad but as I've frogged it twice now I can't help but think I would be nearly finished! 1st time was because the borders were'nt looking right as I'd downsized the pattern and 2nd & 3rd just from mistakes. And I didn't make any mistakes on the shrug for me until the very last row before the final cuff so I'm glad now I didn't rip it back and decided it wasn't noticable otherwise...... Well doesn't bear thinking about!

Emmilou you stick in there - I for one really want to see it in fluffy glittery red yarn cheese

No don't frog it! I did the same 1st pattern row twice at the end of mine and ended up with a straight bit instead of crisscross but thought, hey its at the end, no one will notice. With Ellie's I somehow forgot a yarn over and increased by 1 stitch too so it was quite noticable with a big blodge of knitting and no holes in the centre!

hi everyone
busy - if you can't get hold of it, just PM me if you want and i'll send it to you... smile
su2ie - i made a mistake last night too, but cos it's fluffy wool it's not noticable, it was a stupid mistake as well, i mark off the rows that i've done and just mis-counted so i've done row 1, row 2 and then row 1 AGAIN hmmm ... also had alysa this morning saying that she wanted said shrug. when i explained to her that this one is too big and i'll make her one straight after, she said no, she doesn't want it . "but you and amber with have the same thing..." "i don't want to be the same as amber!!"....wow, talk about knowing what she wants, shes only 3...lol!! rolleyes

Emmilou thats the same mistake I made on my shrug at the end! I've put my stitch counter on my needle for Ellie's shrug and just keep counting to 4 then resetting so I don't do it again grin

Kids eh? 3 going on 13 by the sounds of it! I'm sure Alysa will come around by the time its done though cheese
