Paint florals onto a glass gift set to enhance the décor

Glass painting never fails to impress. It looks sophisticated, but this beautiful craft is very easy to master and here Jill Alblas shows us how. Flower motifs are brilliant for beginners as imperfections in the shape of the petals really won’t show, and when complete, the eye is drawn to the lovely jewelled effect of the colours instead. If you’re a complete novice we suggest starting with the card or tag as these are `quick makes’ and will help you build up confidence. Our pretty mirror and vase could be your next step. They will enhance any room and certainly be admired by all. As transferring a pattern and working directly on a mirror can be tricky, we’ve shown you an easy way to do this.
